Getting organized doesn’t mean emptying your entire house, buying dozens of matching bins, or trying to make every closet look like it belongs on social media.

For me, good home organization is much simpler.

Start with what frustrates you.

Maybe it’s the kitchen counter that collects everything, the bathroom cabinet where you can never find what you need, or that one drawer we all have that somehow holds batteries, takeout menus, tape, old keys and things nobody can identify.

Instead of trying to organize your entire home, start with one small space and make it work better for the way you actually live.

I also believe organization should make things easy to see, easy to reach and easy to put away. As someone with low vision, that’s especially important to me. A beautiful organization system isn’t very useful if you can’t easily find what you’re looking for.

Throughout Home Joy, I’ll be sharing realistic organization ideas, simple decluttering projects, useful storage solutions and some of my favorite finds that can make everyday life a little easier.
